We aim to provide the best informational content in the African Energy Sector.
At Kabbiz Energy, we are committed to providing high-quality, accurate, and relevant content that serves our community of energy professionals, enthusiasts, businesses and end users. To ensure the integrity of our platform and maintain a professional standard, we have established the following publishing guidelines for contributors wishing to submit articles to Kabbiz Energy. We encourage you to read through our article guidelines carefully before submitting any article to us for consideration.
Integrity and Content Standards
We strive to uphold the highest standards of integrity in all content we publish on our website. All submissions should be well-researched, fact-checked, and written in a manner that reflects professional accuracy and balance. We focus on promoting transparency, innovation, and ethical practices within the energy sector and we aim to help consumers as well to get the best deals they can with the range of products out there in the market.
Eligibility of Contributors
We welcome contributions from a diverse range of writers, including industry professionals, academics, journalists, thought leaders in the energy sector and professional reviewers who have a good grasp of Energy products and services which will be relevant to our readers. However, all contributors must demonstrate an understanding of energy-related topics, and preference will be given to individuals with proven expertise, relevant experience or product knowledge of whatever product or service they choose to write on.
Requirements for Contributors:
– A background in the energy industry (e.g., law, engineering, sustainability, renewable energy).
– Clear and well-supported insights in articles.
– Original content that has not been published elsewhere. You can publish your articles elsewhere after we accept your article, but we have to be credited as the first publisher of the article in the future.
– Knowledge of whatever Energy product they are reviewing [if they are writing to review specific Energy products]
– Disclosure of any affiliation to whatever product they are writing about so that we know their product and service affiliations.
Content Submission Guidelines
Submission Process:
– Initial Submission: If you have written any article that borders on the Energy sector which you feel will benefit our audience, we encourage you to send same to us. All articles should be submitted via email to [email protected]
– Review Process: Each submission we receive will be reviewed by our editorial board who will assess the content for relevance, adherence to our guidelines and quality.
– Approval: If your article meets our standards, we will surely publish same and notify you of its publication on our site. If it does not meet our standards, we will notify you of our decision either rejecting the piece or requesting you edit the piece to better fit our publication guidelines.
Content Requirements:
– Length: We accept articles of not less than 500 words. We generally recommend articles to be between 800 and 2,500 words, depending on the complexity of the topic.
– Formatting: Use clear headings and subheadings, bullet points where necessary, and include links to credible sources if and where required. We will check out the sources before publication to ensure that they do not lead to broken, non-existent or harmful links which may harm our rankings with reputable search engines. Please provide any images in high-resolution formats and ensure proper licensing.
Prohibited Content
We do not accept:
– Plagiarized content or articles that infringe on any third-party intellectual property.
– Misleading information, clickbait, or content with sensationalist tones.
– Offensive or defamatory material, hate speech, or discriminatory content.
– Promotion of illegal activities or unethical business practices.
– Any content promoting political agendas, unless it is directly relevant to energy policy discussions that is relevant to our publication.
– AI-generated content which the submitter tries to pass on as theirs; we are interested in hearing your unique voice, or your unique perspective, or unique review regarding Energy related issues. If AI does the work, it defeats this purpose.
Disclosure and Transparency
We believe in transparency and require contributors to disclose any potential conflicts of interest. If you have any affiliations, sponsorships, or financial interests related to the content of your article, you must clearly disclose this at the time of submission. Don’t worry; this will not affect our editorial choice of accepting or rejecting your article—even if you are affiliated to the content of your article and same meets our standards, we will publish it.
Examples of Required Disclosures:
– Financial ties to any company or product mentioned.
– Affiliate ties to any product or company mentioned or referenced.
Review and Approval Process
Kabbiz Energy reserves the right to edit, adapt, or reject any submission that does not meet our editorial standards. Our team may edit articles for clarity, grammar, tone, and style to better fit our publication standards and tone of voice. Alternatively, we may request you edit in line with our editorial guidelines. We just try to maintain a consistent professional tone and would want your article to reflect that “brand tone”. If your article requires major changes, we will communicate same to you for edits before approval, prior to publication of same.
Liability
Kabbiz Energy assumes no responsibility for the opinions or statements expressed by contributors. All contributors are expected to fact-check their work and ensure it is free of errors before submission. Kabbiz Energy is not liable for any claims, damages, or disputes arising from published content.
