Product Review: itel PowerLite I 30,000mAh 22.5W Powerbank

I am a legal professional who is constantly connected online, an avid traveler and someone who values reliable power solutions to protect against EEDC’s frequent power outages, so I recently got and had the opportunity to test the itel PowerLite I 30,000mAh 22.5W Powerbank.  I have used the product for a couple of weeks, so I am sharing my firsthand experience and key takeaways from same:

Key Takeaways:

Battery Capacity: 30,000mAh

Charging Ports: 3 Ports – 1 USB Type-C (in and out at 18W & 20W, respectively), 2 USB-A ports.

Charging Time: Around 6 hours for a full charge

Output: 22.5W (fast-charging capabilities)

Usage: Can charge a phone with battery of 5000mAh up to five times before it runs out of power.

Price Range: ₦28,000 to ₦32,000 depending on the store and location.

LED Screen Display: The built-in LED screen displays the power bank’s battery percentage during use and while charging The feature is very convenient and helps you track the remaining power available on the itel PowerLite I 30,000mAh 22.5W Powerbank whether during active use, or while it’s charging.

Optimal Device Charging Strategy: Here’s my tip: Charge one device at a time for maximum output. When one device is full, switch to the next. Charging more than one device at a time slows down the powerbank’s output and makes it slower.

Design of the itel PowerLite I 30,000mAh 22.5W Powerbank

itel powerbank review

From the moment I unboxed it, the itel PowerLite I 30,000mAh 22.5W Powerbank exudes a sleek and minimalist design. It’s primarily matte black with a dotted texture on one side, which helps prevent it from slipping out of your hand—although with its large battery capacity, it’s a bit heavier and bulkier than some smaller-capacity powerbanks. However, for a 30,000mAh battery, it remains surprisingly portable, and, while it takes a bit getting used to, it will become quickly convenient for someone who is always on the move as they can easily lug it with them in their handbag. As I earlier stated, the powerbank has a clear LED display at the top that shows the exact battery percentage both while in use and charging. For me this is one of the highlights of the itel PowerLite I 30,000mAh 22.5W Powerbank because I do not have to second-guess the remaining power – it is right there on the screen for me to refer to with the touch of the side-mounted power button.

Charging Performance

  • Lightning Type Cord: Yes, it supports it.
  • USB Type-C (In & Out): At 18W input and 20W output, it’s versatile.
  • Other USB Port: Perfect for older phones.

When it comes to its core function—charging—the itel PowerLite I 30,000mAh 22.5W Powerbank does not disappoint. The powerbank is equipped with a 22.5W fast-charging capability, which gives the powerbank a decent charging speed, especially for people with newer devices that support more than 18W charging. My Redmi Note 12 supports a 33W charge while my Poco X6 Pro 5G supports a 67W fast charge; this means that I can get a decent speed with the powerbank while using it even though I am used to faster speeds on the two devices when I plug them in directly.

I’ve used it with my Poco X6 Pro, and I noticed that with a higher-powered charger (I used my 67W Poco charger), the powerbank can charge quite faster. The approximate 6-hour full recharge time might seem like a long stretch, but considering the powerbank’s battery capacity, I’d say that’s a fair trade-off.

However, I did notice that while charging multiple devices (two phones in my case), the charging output tends to reduce slightly. It’s still efficient, but based on my experience, I recommend you charge one device at a time; when that fills up, unplug and then plug in the second device.

Usage and Battery Life

During a recent three-day power outage, this power bank was my lifeline. The powerbank is an absolute workhorse. With its 30,000mAh battery, I’ve managed to charge my phone five full times before needing to recharge the powerbank. If you’re in a place with intermittent power supply like I am, this can carry you through a three-day outage without your phone dying on you. Also, one of the big pluses for me is that the PowerLite I doesn’t overheat during long hours of charging or while it’s being recharged. This gives me peace of mind, as I worry about overheating on devices because overheating devices tend not to last very long.

Should You Buy the itel PowerLite I 30,000mAh 22.5W Powerbank?

Personally, I would recommend it. The vendor who sold it to me was the person that recommended it, as I had planned to buy a different brand; I got this one instead on his recommendation and I am recommending it as well. So, if you’re looking for a durable, reliable powerbank, especially one that can handle multiple charges, the itel PowerLite I 30,000mAh 22.5W Powerbank is worth considering. Sure, it’s bulkier than smaller-capacity powerbanks, but the power it packs makes up for the size. At a price range of around ₦28,000 to ₦32,000, it’s also quite affordable considering its performance and battery capacity. iTel really did try with this particular product.
